📚 Lessons
What does a lesson look like?

Every lesson follows an engaging structure:

1. Hook — a fascinating question or paradox
2. Prediction — you make a guess
3. Explanation — short, visual concept explanation
4. Simulation — interactive experiment with sliders
5. Quiz — test your understanding
6. Boss challenge — a harder problem
7. Bonus content — optional extra XP
8. Reward — your earned XP and stars

How do I continue a lesson I started?

Your lesson progress is tracked automatically. If you leave before finishing, simply open the same lesson again.

Note: During Early Access, mid-lesson saves are limited. It's best to complete a lesson in one sitting (usually 5-15 minutes).

Can I restart a lesson?

Yes, you can retake any lesson at any time. Simply open the lesson again and start from the beginning.

Your best XP score for each lesson is kept — retaking a lesson can only improve your score, never lower it.

What happens when I answer incorrectly?

Don't worry! Wrong answers are part of learning. When you answer incorrectly:

1. You'll see an explanation of why the answer was wrong
2. You can try again
3. Hints are available if you're stuck

There's no penalty for retrying, but getting it right on the first try earns bonus XP.

How long does a lesson take?

Most lessons take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete. Each screen shows just one concept, so you can learn at your own pace.

Some lessons with simulations and boss challenges may take a bit longer.

How are lesson stars calculated?

You earn 1 to 3 stars per lesson based on your accuracy:

- 3 stars: No mistakes
- 2 stars: 1-2 mistakes
- 1 star: 3 or more mistakes

You can retake lessons to improve your star rating.

Why is a lesson locked?

Some lessons require you to complete prerequisite topics first. The curriculum is structured so that each concept builds on previous knowledge.

During Early Access, some lessons may also be locked because they haven't been created yet.

How do the interactive simulations work?

Simulations let you experiment with physics concepts using sliders and animations. For example, you can change the mass and acceleration to see how force changes.

Move the sliders to adjust variables and watch the visualization respond in real time. A reset button returns everything to defaults.

What is the bonus content in lessons?

Near the end of each lesson, you may find "Want more?" bonus screens. These contain extra content like:

- Philosophy connections
- Modern research
- Ancient wisdom connections

Each bonus card you open earns +5 XP. You can skip bonuses if you prefer.

XP, Levels & Achievements
What is XP?

XP (Experience Points) is a measure of your learning progress. You earn XP by completing lessons, answering questions correctly, and exploring bonus content.

XP is displayed with a brain icon throughout the platform. Your total XP is shown in the header.

How do levels work?

Your level (0-18) is calculated from your total XP. As you complete more lessons across all domains, your level increases.

Higher levels unlock new avatars in every collection. Level 18 is the maximum, representing mastery of the full curriculum.

Where can I see my achievements?

Click the XP badge in the header (or go to /achievements). You'll see:

- Your current level
- Total XP earned
- Progress bar to the next level
- Number of unique lessons completed

Why didn't I receive XP?

XP is awarded when you complete a lesson (reach the reward screen). If you leave before finishing, XP is not saved.

Also, each lesson only counts once for your total — if you've already earned XP for a lesson, replaying it will only improve your score if you do better.

What is the maximum XP I can earn?

The maximum XP depends on the number of topics in the curriculum. Each topic has a maximum of 85 XP. As more topics and lessons are added, the maximum increases.

You can see your progress toward the maximum on the achievements page.

Can I earn more XP by repeating lessons?

Your total XP is based on your best score per lesson. Repeating a lesson can only improve your score if you make fewer mistakes — it won't add duplicate XP.

This prevents XP farming and keeps the system fair.

Are there limits on AI teacher usage?

Free users have a limited number of AI teacher requests per month. When you reach the limit, you'll see a message suggesting you support the project.

Premium supporters get significantly higher AI request limits.

What if the AI gives an incorrect answer?

AI explanations are generally accurate, but mistakes can happen. If you notice an incorrect explanation, please report it using the feedback form.

The AI is a supplementary tool — the lessons themselves are the primary source of correct physics information.

Is my data shared with the AI?

Only minimal context is shared with the AI provider: the current lesson topic, your grade level, and the content of the screen you're asking about.

Your personal information, progress data, and conversation history are not shared.

Can the AI help with my homework?

The AI teacher is designed to explain lesson concepts, not solve homework problems. It provides explanations for the current lesson content only.

For homework help, we recommend reviewing the relevant lesson topics on Physo.click.

Why is the AI teacher unavailable?

The AI teacher may be temporarily unavailable due to:
